Xmas edition of the Immediate Edge newsletter - part 1

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

I got home last night to find the latest Immediate Edge newsletter - or at least half of it - available for download.

Although it’s a bit later than planned this 23 page newsletter has a couple of great strategies for making money online fast. It won’t get you earning big bucks, but never forget that while $10/day doesn’t sound like much it totals $3,650/year - and if you have several of those regularly earning for you the cash quickly mounts up.

One of the strategies is about earning from cost per action (CPA) networks, where you get paid every time someone performs a specific action, usually which is to give their email address. Dan Raine was able to average $34/day from this method with a couple of hours work while testing the strategy - that’s $12,410/year. I know you can’t retire on $12k per year, but once you’re earning that $12k move on to another niche - if you manage one every month for a year you’ll see it quickly adds up with the added benefit that the more you do it the better you’ll get at it.

I’ll be giving this a shot over the next week or so because it does look pretty easy to implement - I’ll let you know how I get on, although obviously I won’t be revealing which niches I’m targeting. One of the Immediate Edge strategies called Maximum Edge is currently bringing in one or two sales every day and so Immediate Edge is now paying for itself several times over.

That just about wraps it up, I can’t wait for the second half of the newsletter!

No email, now no Digg

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Well, I’m back. And it’s an interesting start to the year.

First I forgot to renew one of my domains. The website isn’t important to me any more as it has had a Google penalty for around 18 months, but almost all my email goes through this domain as I’ve used it since 1999.

First of all I thought that people weren’t back at work yesterday, until I looked at the website. Thinking it was my server, I checked another domain; it was fine. Finally checking the DNS details I found that to all intents and purposes the domain no longer existed.

Re-registering the domain was no problem, and the website was up and running within a couple of hours. But when I found no email this morning I began to worry. After multiple reconfigurations it might be working - it was throwing out a 550 - no relaying error earlier, but I’ve received some spam which at least is a good sign :-)

The second interesting thing is that I’m no longer on Digg. Digg+blog has been a powerful combination in getting articles to rank in minutes, but I admit that I may have overdone it with Digg. They clearly think so as my account is no longer and my IP address seems to be blocked.

I’ve been using Digg regularly since about May for StomperNet SIMPLE; then the 30 Day Challenge; and just recently with Immediate Edge. I’ll take it a bit easier with other similar sites as I’ve been hitting them too, but it will be interesting to see how much my rankings suffer by being bigtime undugg.

Oh, the shame of it - what would Ed Dale say?

Learn how to make the most of Facebook ads

Sunday, December 16th, 2007

One of the great things about Immediate Edge that I keep going on about at the moment is Ed Dale’s course on Facebook ads, which depends on geo-demographic data. Ed can probably explain better than I can:

The course will be released as a standalone product in the New Year, but you can get access to it right now by joining Immediate Edge now! I have huge respect for Ed and Dan Raine as internet marketers and the information I’ve got from Immediate Edge is absolutely first class, so if you want to get in on Facebook ads before Christmas and get a head start over the crowd, now is the time to join The Edge.

Advanced Internet Marketing Strategies from the Immediate Edge

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

Immediate Edge

Since I joined Immediate Edge at the beginning of September I’ve been really focusing on the strategies shared by Dan Raine and Ed Dale at every opportunity I can. Not aimed at beginners like the 30 Day Challenge, Immediate Edge is all about showing how to use advanced internet marketing strategies and to eliminate risk from the equation.

The first of these is the Maximum Edge, which is a superb way of ranking on the first page of Google withing 24 hours - it really is unbelievable. The other strand which I’m following with interest is Ed Dale’s series on Facebook marketing. This really is the cutting edge of internet marketing and will be released as a stand alone course in the new year - luckily we Edge members get this in advance and it’s being rolled out now.

Another great thing is the newsletters. Appearing approximately once a month they are packed with info to try on your existing websites and often include software to add a feature. If you can set up a Wordpress blog then you can almost certainly get this software up and running too.

You can try out the Immediate Edge’s advanced internet marketing strategies risk free. Sign up and if you are not happy with it within the first 30 days you’ll receive a refund. Great stuff.

New Immediate Edge newsletter

Friday, November 30th, 2007

One of the things I love about the Immediate Edge is the sheer amount of info that is shared with members. If you took part in the 30 Day Challenge then you’ll have some idea about the kind of stuff that is shared, but that is only the beginning - Immediate Edge is the 30 Day Challenge on steroids.

The newsletter is written by Dan Raine - Ed Dale  sticks to delivering his content though podcasts and video - and this month is a whopping 22 page PDF. I haven’t read it yet but will do so shortly because it will need my undivided attention, some reflection to apply it to my markets and a re-read.

Since I was away in August I started the 30 Day Challenge in  September, but the niche I picked seems to be a dud because I’ve had loads of impressions but only 1 sale. Now, however much that may seem like a failure - and it does, it really does - I haven’t had to launch a new website to test out that market - that would have been painful. Instead I’ve tested the market and found it’s a dud and moved on. One of the curious things about it is that the numbers on this niche were good for the 30 Day Challenge, but it is ranking on the first page of Google for a search term that would exclude it from the 30DC. However, those numbers are good for Immediate Edge! Still a dud market though :-)

Anyway, I’ve tested several niches now and found one that is good. How long did it take? Just 2 weeks.

If you’re an internet marketer and want to stay way ahead of the crowd then my advice to you is definitely try the Immediate Edge.

Look out - here comes the Internet Goldrush 2.0

Monday, November 26th, 2007

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll know that I’ve been more than happy with Immediate Edge since I joined at the beginning for September.

All the internet wisdom of Dan Raine and Ed Dale is served up to members on a frequent basis with a number of projects on the go to try and demonstrate not only how to do it but the thinking processes behind it.

One of the things they’ve been on and on about for ages is Facebook. The thing about Facebook is love it or hate it, you can’t ignore it, because with the launch of a geo-demographic PPC platform now launched it means that rather than target keywords, the internet marketer can now target customer profiles; internet marketing just got one step closer to traditional offline marketing, although whether that is one step forward or one step back is debatable :-)

Dan and Ed think this is the biggest thing since Google AdWords launched. If you joined that in the early days you’ll remember that it was easy to pick up advertising for a few cents, but once it became a mainstream advertising medium that advantage disappeared as the ad costs soared. What this means is that there is now a window of opportunity before the big boys move in - Google Cash 2.0 if you like.

Dan and Ed will be releasing full info on how to make the most out of Facebook PPC as a stand alone product. However, you can get that info now, if you join the Immediate Edge. And if you join and don’t like it you can cancel at any time - if it’s within the first 2 weeks then you get you’re money back. All I can say is that it’s about the best $97 you could spend per month, so what are you waiting for?

Immediate Edge update

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Dan Raine posted the mind map for the Maximum Edge Redux last night for Immediate Edge members and I can’t wait to get into it and working.

One of my internet marketing weaknesses has been picking the right niches to enter and Dan, having recognised that this is a huge issue for many people, plans on addressing it.

Obviously since Immediate Edge is a membership site I won’t reveal too much about it other than to say - I love it so far!

I’ll update this blog with the results, good or bad, but I’d like to have at least one more big paying site up and running within the next 6 months.

Immediate Edge

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

I’ve just been listening to the Immediate Edge Q&A session between Dan Raine and Ed Dale covering a ton of questions mainly by new members. The session is a couple of hours or so, but covers a lot of ground so well worth it - you could always join the gym.

There are so great projects coming up and I love the hands on approach, so really want to hone my internet marketing skills over the next few months. Immediate Edge is currently $97/month and so far worth every penny.

SEO talk at Restaurante Namaste, Barcelona

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

Just back from eating a great Indian chicken curry recipe at Restaurante Namaste in Barcelona with Dan. Almost went to the wrong restaurant as there are 2 of the same name and only one shows up in Google, but we talked to the owner at the end about his website which turns out not to be indexed. Testing Immediate Edge method to boost email sign ups

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

One of the things I’m trying from Immediate Edge is a method that is supposed to boost email sign ups. I’m testing the method (I won’t reveal what it is - you should have joined Immediate Edge) on a website that for me is part fun and part SEO/internet marketing test bed with a miserable sign up rate of just 1 percent.

In fact the code as provided by Immediate Edge didn’t work, so I wrote some code to achieve the same thing at the weekend and finished off this afternoon. I’m split testing this method with what I had before and the early results are interesting; every sign up since I made the code live are from this method.

Once I have some worthwhile data I’ll post the results.

Update: October 4th

I messed it up to start with and so reset my stats yesterday. Initial results from less than 24 hours are:

Immediate Edge method: 4.3%

Without Edge method: 2.4%

Aweber generated form: 1.5% (as used previously, 1% long term)

The 3 different forms are being rotated evenly and it is very early days, however the Immediate Edge method has taken the lead - it’ll be interesting to return to this after more significant numbers.
