Thirty Day Challenge overload

Well we’re onto day 2 of the Thirty Day Challenge 3.0 and there is currently a huge server meltdown as 1000s of people across the globe try and download today’s video/podcast. I haven’t been able to access the info yet, but will say that the day 1 content was great, a nice and easy intro to internet marketing and with a taste of some great Web 2.0 know how from Dan Raine.

I personally can’t wait, it’ll be interesting to see how it compares with Stompernet SIMPLE. Although this kind of marketing was covered, I don’t think there was enough detail on that programme and it left many people confused. However, it is starting to work and I want to see how different the results are from what Dan will be teaching.

If you’re not already signed up, you can still add to the server overload at http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com. See you there.

I can’t even connect to the site.

However, that’s not my biggest concern.

What really worries me is the impact on sites like StumbleUpon, Hubpages, Netscape, Digg, Reddit, etc., when — and I’m grabbing a number from the air — 10,000 Internet Marketers of various experience levels are going to blast those sites with their sales pages, links to sales pages, links that link to links that link to sales pages… you get the picture.

In terms of user experience on those sites it might not be a pretty picture.

I wouldn’t worry about all those sites as 10,000 additional users will be nothing to them.

The 30DC problem is due to the video and audio content - big bandwidth stuff - while the sites you mention all consume tiny amounts of bandwidth.
