Thirty day challenge

The 30 day challenge pre-season has kicked off this week, with a ton of info on setting ourselves up with the right software (all free BTW) and configs to be able to hit the ground running on August 1st.

So far we’ve Ed Dale has covered Firefox+extensions (and there is some GREAT advice here, really amazing), Stumbleupon, configuring the forums… and probably some other stuff I’ve forgotten in a series of videos and podcasts; I knew I was forgetting something, it’s iTunes.

I wish I could devote some more time to the 30DC, but I’ll be on holiday during August and hardcore holiday (no WIFI) for the second half of the month. That said, I will be following as best I can and can’t wait to try out some of the IM tactics from Dan Raine.

I’m particularly interested in seeing in what ways it differs from StomperNet SIMPLE and to start with there is this; you can download all the videos and podcasts from iTunes and use whatever media player you like to watch or listen. This is much more flexible and a far better approach; I like to listen to podcasts at the gym and get away from my computer to watch video sometimes, otherwise I start to multitask.

I’ll get involved as much as I can, but if you want to sign up (and I think you should) then you can sign up for FREE at the Thirty Day Challenge website. I’d also like to say thank you to Ed for making this happen.
