Where has everybody gone?
It’s a few days since I last wrote about StomperNet SIMPLE and I wasn’t exactly happy about it but I’ve now had the chance to hear the conversation between Ed Dale and Leslie Rohde, which was good as always.
Sales from my SIMPLE site currently stand at a grand total of 2, from which I’ve earned $132. However, my PPC costs are running much higher than that, so still no profit. I’m not really worried about running a loss at the moment, although the PPC campaigns for this website aren’t performing as well as I’d like. Just a question of testing and refining as always…
One big negative; faculty members are conspicuous by their absence in the forums. One guy has been asking the same question for over a week and has yet to have received a reply - that is a poor show for $97/month. In fact on the whole there is little participation in the forums these days and I wonder how many of us are actually left.

I’ve heard of people who’ve left the full StomperNet because the big names did not participate in the forums.
It’s kind of obvious. During the trial they were in the forums. Now that they’ve got your signup and your money they’re not. Makes one wonder why the sudden change.
I had my doubts and made my decision with the announcement of the scaling down of Ed’s messages. I interpreted it as, “We accomplished our goal, we got you to click that signup button. So use this material that doesn’t require a lot of our time and go figure it out.”

Jim,
Thanks for the comment. I’ve said before that I can’t see where the value is going to come from in the longer term. As a 3 month online course then it could work excellently; as an ongoing mentoring group it only works if the faculty put in consistently.
The problem as far as signing me up for full StomperNet goes is that the more I’m with SIMPLE the less inclined I feel to sign up for full StomperNet.
I don’t think Ed is the problem as he has a consistent record with internet marketing education. Compare SIMPLE with Immediate Edge - Ed Dale is also involved with that - I’m not a member (yet) but have heard great things about it because the content that comes out of it from Dan Raine and Ed is first class.

With the next month’s pay point coming up, most of the remaining forum posters seem to be about to leave SIMPLE (including me). That will leave no-one doing free support.
Ditto on SIMPLE making me less inclined to sign up for Stompernet. The content has been excellent (as long as you have enough tech-savvy to understand it). The attitude from the start has been patronising, at best.
